Darren Penner
Lawyer & Founder
Darren founded Quadro Law in late 2019 after years at another
Vancouver immigration firm. The focus of his practice is immigration law, but
he has a strong background in corporate law, wills and estates as well.
In his immigration practice, Darren works with both
businesses and individuals to facilitate the entry of people into Canada as
temporary and permanent residents. He also assists clients who are already in
Canada with permanent residence applications, citizenship applications, and the
renewal of their temporary status as workers, students, or visitors. His
background in corporate and commercial law helps Darren to understand and
anticipate his clients’ business needs when formulating an immigration plan. He
is highly experienced in the preparation of work permit applications through
NAFTA and other free-trade agreements, LMIA-based and PNP-based work permits, and LMIA-exempt work permits.
Darren has also highly experienced in the preparation of
applications through the family class, including sponsorship of spouses and
common-law partners from inside and outside Canada, as well as sponsorship of
children and parents and the sponsorship of other relatives through
humanitarian and compassionate grounds. He also assists clients in appeals
work, enforcement work, the submission of applications to Federal Court, and he
has appeared at the Immigration Division and the Immigration Appeals Division.
Darren’s key strength is the ability to
problem-solve and find creative solutions when faced with unique or difficult
situations. He believes that providing sound, competent legal services is just
one part of what it takes to build a lasting client relationship. His approach
puts the client in the driver's seat, with an emphasis on listening to and
understanding client objectives, providing a quick response to enquiries and
concerns, and of course providing excellent legal services to his clients.
